During her secondment to the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) in Japan Dr. Kirova got acquainted with the optical nanofiber experiments performed at the Nayak lab and participated in discussions, where each team leader presented the research topics they are working on.
Dr. Kirova derived the density matrix equations of motion in the bare and dressed states for two atoms near the ONF and this way participated in the Q-DYNAMO WP4 ‘Training activities’, transferring knowledge from the theoretical group in Riga to the experimental group in UEC.
She also attended the seminar of the Ulm group leader Prof. Denschlag, who was on a secondment to Tokyo University of Science at the same time and participated in discussions with the leaders of all groups about future research activities and mutual visits related to the implementation of the Q-DYNAMO project.
